About Jocelyn
Jocelyn Yeh is a Taiwanese-American cellist performing across the United States and Taiwan, sharing her music and bringing more people into the world of classical music as a dynamic and versatile musician . As an educator, she is committed to nurturing a strong foundation and long-lasting passion for music in her students. She was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago in the 2024-25 season and received her master’s degree in cello performance from The Juilliard School studying with Darrett Adkins after having received her Bachelor of Music from UCLA studying with Antonio Lysy. Previously, she was a winner of the UCLA All-Star Concerto Competition and Best Classical Musicians Awards, and received Honorable Mention at the Atwater Kent String Concerto Competition.
Yeh has held recitals at The Juilliard School, UCLA, and National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. Dedicated to social welfare and compassion through music, she played in Tzu Chi Jing Si Hall in both Hualien and Hsinchu, and in Santa Clara Convention Center for Tzu Chi’s charity concerts. As a soloist, she performed the first Shostakovich Cello Concerto with the UCLA Philharmonia under maestro Bruno Nascimento at Royce Hall, and also as guest soloist with the UCLA Wind Ensemble under maestra Doris Doyon at Schoenberg Hall. She played with the innovative classical music ensemble Jacaranda Music in Noon to Midnight, Los Angeles Philharmonic’s new music marathon, at the Walt Disney Concert Hall under maestro David Bloom. She has participated in various music festivals such as the Meadowmount School of Music, Taipei Music Academy and Festival, Vivace Cello Festival, and Juilliard ChamberFest.
